Morgan Schmoll's Green Computing

Page history last edited by Morgan Schmoll 15 years, 6 months ago

For my green computing project I chose the Edmards Family Foundation. I spoke with Jim Shatz one of the partners. The Edmards Family Foundation helps underprivlaged childen during christmas that can not afford food or toys. People donate what they can so the foundation can have food, toys, bikes, helmets anything to help familys have a good christmas. Familys go on christmas and they recieve a box of food usually containing a turkey, ham, and other things needed to make a full christmas meal like milk, eggs, bread, non parishable items, and a cake. Familys get a ticket depending on how many children they have. The children each recieve a bike with a helmet, and other toys. I think this is an awesome idea to help these children that would otherwise not be able to enjoy their christmas. Not only is it the children that get to enjoy it but the parents are rewarded with a big dinner that they can share with their familys.

The Edmards Family Foundation was created in 2001 and since then many donations were made to let these familys have a wonderful christmas.
