CLASS: please include ALL the writing instructors usernames when you share your portfolios in blackboard, please. I know that I instructed you to only include Gresham, McCracken, and Conner, but the committee does in fact include ALL writing instructors so please make this adjustment! Thank you!
The Final Project: have some fun!
the project can be in any medium but must have a "cover sheet" or statement of purpose on the wiki, and you have until next week to complete the project. Tomorrow in class we'll pin down a precise day (most likely Thursday) when I will be in my office to gather up non-wiki project materials. The project should attend to the needs of a specific audience and can sample from your best work. It can even be a significant revision (remix!) of your best paper, a revision that expands upon and elaborates upon your earlier effort.
The Course Portfolio: release a greatest wiki hits playlist!
Just as important as your project is your FINAL PORTFOLIO, because it's also worth 25% of your final grade. Basically, this is a cumulative statement-of-purpose/cover sheet/reflection with links that directs the grading committee's attention to your best work (link to any writing anywhere from anytime during the semester--this your "greatest hits" compilation) as pertaining to the 4 WPA rubrics:
1. rhetorical knowledge
2. critical thinking/reading/writing
3. evidence of your writing process (sequencing chats-->brainstorms-->blogs-->rough drafts-->final drafts)
4. awareness of different conventions, formatting styles, and genres of argumentation.
Let's prepare for tomorrow's meeting (our last!) by trolling for greatest hits (yours or anyone else's--remember, your interpretation/understanding/reading (see #2 above) of a peer's exemplary rhetorical moment counts just the same! We'll do more of the same in class. Let's crowdsource this wiki and rock these portfolios.

Hey Guys! I emailed Trey asking about the our final grades... this was his response:
"You're on track--you just need to understand the project and the portfolio in this way:
1. the project can be in any medium but must have a "cover sheet" or statement of purpose on the wiki, and you have until next week to complete the project. 2. Just as important as your project is your FINAL PORTFOLIO, because it's also worth 25% of your final grade. Basically, this is a cumulative statement of purpose/cover sheet/reflection with links that directs the grading committee's attention to your best work (link to any writing anywhere from anytime during the semester) as pertaining to the 4 WPA rubrics:

I hope this clears things up!"
