When you write a narrative, you are sharing a particular experience of yours with your readers. Examining an experience through writing often makes me remember details about the event that I would not normally. I am drawn to personal writing like memoirs and biographies, because I enjoy reading about the stories of people’s lives. These types of stories, I can write easily and not have to think it over and recorrect my writing as much because there is not much creativity in it except for the way I tell it. The events really happened and I think more people can relate to personal writing as well because it is real. My purpose for writing is generally for the entertainment of a story.

 

 

COMICS

One of my boyfriends used to be a big comic book fan and had like thousands of them. We’d go to Sarasota every weekend to pick up the latest ones and he’d always make me read them with him. I can appreciate them but most of the subject matters and story lines of the ones he bought were not interesting to me (superheroes). I do like how they look though. I have a camera that takes sequential pictures in a second and they come out looking la lot like a comic (this).

I have read a lot of environmental literature in high school so I don't feel like I'm as unaware as most people. The first realization of what people are doing to the earth is a profound one though. We can learn a lot from indigenous cultures.
